FAMOUS RIVERS OF UTTARAKHAND
Ganga (Bhagirathi and Alaknanda) - The Ganga River, one of India's holiest rivers, rises from Uttarakhand's Gangotri Glacier. At Devprayag, the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers converge to form the Ganga. The Ganga passes through Rishikesh and Haridwar, two locations where it is revered and draws a large number of people.
